Data Import

· User can Import files into the Application in different formats like Text and Excel Workbook.

· This utility is useful if the user extracts data from an external ERP/third-party system.

· To Import the file into the Application, go to File --> Data Import.

· Click on File Type and select the appropriate File Type.

· Choose files from the list of Files which the user wants to Import.

· After the File is selected, specify the delimiter in the Files. If Excel Workbook is selected, the delimiter is updated as Tab.

· There are 3 Insert types.

  1. Append: Adds to the database incrementally. If the data already exists, it will not replace that data. It will throw an error stating that data is already present.

  2. Replace: Adds to the database incrementally. If the data already exists, then it will replace that data.

  3. Clear All: Clears all the contents in that table and loads the data contained in a flat file or Excel.

· Click on the Insert BD button to Import the selected file. Messages will pop up to confirm the successful Import.

· If there are any errors while loading, the same can be checked by clicking on the View Errors button.
